The 21st Annual Conference GRC2017 will be held from October 12th to October 13th at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne. The conference brings together governance, risk and compliance professionals, as well as suppliers, in an environment dedicated to the networking and sharing of ideas under one roof.

The theme of this year’s two-day conference is
audacity. This is taken from the Winston Churchill quote “The first quality that is needed is audacity”. This choice of theme is to encourage GRC professionals to step up if they want to make effective and lasting change in their organisations.

The way we interpret audacity is stepping outside of your GRC compartment and really engaging with the business, so they not only understand your value proposition, but also understand that GRC is more than just ticking boxes organisational wide responsibility.

The first day of the two-day conference will be focused on external perspectives and industry updates and the second day of the conference will focus on those personal skills to make you a better GRC professional.

This conference will also be a an opportunity for GRC professionals to receive industry updates, hear from regulators, measure different perspectives in the GRC space, assess the impact of emerging technologies such as Fintech and RegTech, network with like-minded professionals, and , hopefully, learn to think more audaciously about GRC.
